The STOP N’ SHOP thrift store is lucky to be the recipient of many wonderful donations from the community, ranging from furniture, clothing, and home décor. We also have many return customers looking for that special something. Happily, the proceeds provide financial support that keep the many wonderful programs running at the Senior Center of West Seattle.
Two Positions Available:
CASHIER on Sundays – Two shifts available, morning 9:45am—1pm & afternoon 1pm-4:20pm. Duties include ringing up sales on cash register, receiving payment via cash or credit card, wrapping and bagging up purchases, answering shopper questions, opening or closing the store, completing sales report, replenishing cashier supplies and tidying up the shelves as needed.
Backroom Assistant – This “behind the scenes” volunteer would ideally work Wednesday & Friday afternoons from 1-4pm, but there is flexibility. Duties include attaching pricing to merchandise, sorting donations, disposing of unsaleable merchandise, placing newly priced items on shelves, and performing monthly mark downs.
