Transient Squatter?

Has anybody seen the older gentleman going in and out of an abandoned apartment complex on California and Juneau (5917 California Ave. SW)? It’s a brown two-story building with three non-operational vehicles in the back alley. My wife sees the man exit through a second story desk on an extension ladder between ten and eleven every morning. He had a dingy mid-to-late nineties Ford truck. I usually see him walking the streets late at night or very early in the morning. He’s about 6’2″,185 lbs. White hair and mustache. Wears a black stocking cap, over-sized jacket and very loose-fitting pants. Is there someone I can contact to find out who owns the property and if that person has a right to be there?

King County Parcel Viewer lists the property owner’s name. Not contact info, though, you’d have to research that.

If you think there’s illegal activity, contact the police.

There do not appear to be any pending complaints against the property, per the DPD log, though there have been a few in the past.

Perhaps unrelated but the description above reminds me of a gentleman in North Admiral. Older, white hair and mustache, often wearing a knit cap, pleated khaki slacks, sweater, jacket. He used to spend a lot of time sitting in the laundromat on California/Admiral. I lived in the area years ago and would see him often. He was always well presented and kindly. I always wondered what his story was. It appeared he was homeless. I no longer live in that part of West Seattle but drove by the other day. I was surprised to see him again. It has been nearly 10 years. He looked exactly the same, while I, unfortunately, look 10 years older. Does anyone know this man?
