KevinParticipantNot to compete with DBP’s Where in West Seattle, but I saw a vanity license plate today in a retail parking lot, on a nice late model car. The vanity plate reads “CCR” – without the quotes of course.
The owner just happened to be sitting in his car, so I asked him (I like to collect pictures of vanity plates) if CCR meant anything special. He asked me what I thought it meant, and I told him I had no idea, and that is why I was asking him.
Then he told me – and I felt like – WOW, I should have figured that out myself.
Anyone out there have any guesses as to what the answer is?

MercyMoiParticipant“Seeker”? It’s not how I would spell it on a plate but is that what he was going for?
And while I’m playing with hard and soft consonants…I surely hope it’s not an abbreviation for “Caser”! :)

KevinParticipantNice try – but not even close :) But feel free to keep guessing.

AlkiKmacParticipantCreedence clearwater revival

PibalParticipantThe music man within says “Creedence Clearwater Revival…”
The former homeowners’ association resident within says “Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions…”
The former mediation participant within says “Center for Conflict Resolution…”
Hmmm, think I’ll go find my LPs…

KevinParticipantOh my – we seem to have two winners here – but AlkiKmac is clearly the first one to get it right! Congratulations AlkiKmac!

KevinParticipantIt was funny – because when I asked the guy, he was kind of like “where have you been all these years?”

AlkiKmacParticipantYeah me! Ah, the memories…..

2 Much WhineParticipantI thought that was far too obvious because that is what Creedence is pretty much known as to their fans (just like BTO is Bachman Turner Overdrive). Where have you been? I thought perhaps the owner was a grilling aficionado and his preferred way of preparing steaks was to sear them (to sear them as in CC is “two C” plus an r). Perhaps too complex.

2 Much WhineParticipantWait. . . . . . . it’s coming. . . . . . .Can’t Comprehend Republicans? Winner, winner chicken dinner!
