I’m not sure I know the history, but my father vividly remembers hearing tow trucks going through the back alley between 47th and 46th in Seaview because Thor was a neighbor back in the 1960s and sometimes brought tow trucks to his home.

My father drove a wrecker Thor’s Towing in the 60s. There were two brothers, Thor and Karl. I think their wrecking yard was down near Alki?

My father represented Thor’s in the 50’s, as afamily we used them a couple of times. They were located down from alki proper , accross from The Foundry at that time

It’s been a long time…, I remember Thor’s towing had a place on Erskine way and SW Dawson Street. Another yard on Avalon way.

Who remembers Grant’s Gas & Go on Fauntleroy and 42nd ave SW

I believe both of those where after the one, down across from the Foundry tc (alki), vaguely
remember Grants. I dealt with the Shell? in the Junction. some great memories from West Seattle, how about Zestos’s across from the High School..
