A poem for the morning by three 12 year olds, Carmen, Careena and Meg
From Lil’ Alki Frosty, the now-headless snowman.
To the boy who took my head:
No long my head and sholders meet,
now all there is is my subtle heart beat
I thought you were going to do something meaningful wiht me
like put me in the freezer
or save me for a sunny week
now I can’t think at the least
because all you did was stuff me in that great big beast
Now I am sitting here all alone
unable to think
unable to moan
Maybe its tempting
Maybe its fun
but in truth our heads
are worth a ton
I am so sad but can not weap
all I wanted was the Christmas joy to keep
please do not come back for my feet.
