SINGLE FATHER NEEDS HELP WITH 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER

I am a single full-time father seeking help with my 4 yo daughter, and to possibly deliver her to a preschool a couple of days a week.

It’s just me and Ava- no family in the state. I’m not looking for a Pro-Nanny, or a dedicated caregiver to just take care of Ava.

My hope is to find a sort of Alterna-family, that wants to help us, will treat Ava as one of their own, and make her feel loved, safe, and supported. Ideally, I would like to find a Stay at Home Mom with similar age child/children, who could just add my daughter into the mix.

Be the busy family you are, living your busy family life. Go where you go, do what you do- just bring one more kid!

We live in the Admiral area of West Seattle. My daughter Ava is a lovely, sweet girl, with lots of positive energy, and I’m looking NOW for a safe, nurturing environment with a local family who is flexible regarding scheduling.

I am a flight attendant, and my schedule is different from week to week, but I can tailor it to fit your needs. (Weekends off/on, am trips, pm trips, 1 day trips, 2 day trips..) I generally fly about 14 days a month, or 3 and a half days a week, with a couple of overnights. Sometimes my flights check in very early, sometimes later, but never are they regular 9-5. My budget is about $600 per month, or $150 a week.

Your benefit is socialization and companionship for your child, perhaps our $600 can cover the monthly grocery bill, and most importantly- you help another child feel confident, secure, and cared for, while she is away from her (thoroughly guilt-ridden) dad.

    C’mon, Village- help us out!

I’m open to build a care situation based on our combined options and needs. I’m trying to make something happen by 07/01/12. Please contact us if this interests you! Or, if you know someone or have a suggestion!

    Thanks, Scott and Ava

    Hey Friends!

I’ve received a few notes of support, and it feels great to know there are real, sincere people out there.

I had a new caregiver set up, and I was very excited about her, but she had to pull out at the last moment- dang!

So, I’m bumping my post to get the word out.

Do you know a loving family with a SAHM, and a 3-6 year old girl?
