So I finally decide I want to take a sewing class and discover Make It Workshop has closed (actually, discovered its existence and closure at the same time). Can anyone recommend another place nearby? Right now the contender is Stitches in Capitol Hill but I’d rather find a place in West Seattle.

Have you tried AAA Sewing on 1st ave just off of 108th in the Top Hat area?

The Pacific Fabric & Crafts outlet in SODO offers sewing classes sometimes. The schedule is available at http://www.pacificfabrics.com. I was very happy with the knitting lessons I took there, but I haven’t taken any sewing lessons yet so I don’t know what the instructors for that are like.

    Good luck!
