villagegreenMemberSo, I remember someone pining for Gelato here in WS. Have driven by this place several times (on Harbor Ave just north of the bridge – in the Active Space building) and noticed that they sell Gelato as well as crepes. Anyone been there and have a review? Sounds like it could be a great find!

AnonymousInactivevillagegreen – There was talk about this particular restaurant in one of the restaurant threads. I think maybe a week ago, or so.
I can look for it and get back to you.
I have, personally, not tried it.

WSMomParticipantYummy!! Especially love the crepes with Nutella and whip cream (I know, fattening, but oh so good). They also have delicious French Press coffee. The pistachio gelato is fab, but mostly I love chocolate (see a trend here). Nice lady running the business. She orders the gelato from a business on 1st Ave (?), so it’s locally made. The crepes are made on an authentic imported French crepe maker (just like on the streets of Paris) and my fav Nutella crepe costs only $4.00. Gelato is expensive (must be made with really good ingrediants), one scoop is about $4.00 or so. My son begs for gelato after his piano lesson every week, he too is a chocaholic like his mom.

villagegreenMemberWhoops – sorry about the retread. Guess I should have done a ‘gelato’ search before posting. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. It sounds great – can’t wait to try it!

inactiveMemberHey villagegreen –
I was the OP pining for gelato. So, I finally made it into try the gelato. Unfortunately, the day I went in she only had a few kinds left. But I sampled each – chocolate was the winner. But, all were very good. And, I sampled their Riverhouse low-sugar sauces. All of them!- I bought a jar of their triple cherry amaretto sauce :) uh,yah. Low-sug glaze for chicken or pork appeal to ya’? Handy backup to have in the frig.
Also, I saw recently that Bubbles on Alki has a gelato sign out front as well. Another mini-review shall be forthcoming, no doubt.
till then – eat well!

CMPParticipantI stopped in last Saturday afternoon for a crepe and it was tasty. Very fresh ingredients and the gals working there were really nice. I had a savory crepe but may have to try out a Nutella crepe next time, as I love those. Didn’t sample any gelato b/c I can’t justify spending $3 on a little scoop of ice cream, although I’m sure it’s delicious. I did notice jars of sauce for sale, guess they could be used in crepes or as ice cream toppers, so I may have to go back to buy some of those. Overall, it was a cute little shop so stop in and try something new!
