grrParticipantOnce again..I find myself asking “what took so long???” Popped in on a whim the other night. Had an AMAZING meal (took a lot of the chef’s suggestions/specials’ for the night.

And it was about half the price for the two of us as it would have cost at many other places in WS.

GO THERE. No excuse for it not to be packed every night.

HMC RichParticipantgrr is correct. Go there.

charlabobParticipantgrr and hmc are both right — go there! They’ve “taught” me to love soup and to love Sangria. The red wine Sangria is incredible!

westcoastdebParticipantabout how much does dinner for 2 run?
June 26, 2010 at 7:44 pm #697859
cjboffoliParticipantFunny….no one had to “teach” me to love Sangria. I guess it just came naturally :-)
Hmm. Another RAVE post for the Bohemian. I continue to not get what makes this place a favorite. We went in the months after they opened. While we found the owners to be super-friendly and nice, the food was all somewhere in the range of “Meh” to “Weird.”

I would suggest the lamb chops. Try the endive salad. We all agreed these were a bit of perfection.
We like the vibe in there as well; hearty.

FranciParticipantThe endive salad is fabulous, I tried it a few weeks ago. I was in a few nights ago and had the special – Crab Cakes and a Salad – both were wonderful. Its one of my favorite places to get a meal out.
June 26, 2010 at 9:27 pm #697862
cjboffoliParticipantActually, we had the endive salad. That was one of the things we thought was “meh.”
June 26, 2010 at 9:47 pm #697863
angelescrestParticipantOkay, so the endive w/pears melding the sweet and crunchy mixed with knock-out gorgonzola is to some perfection, others, “meh” (after so many months–is it the same salad anyway?). So, try the lamb chops.
I jest. Everyone has different tastes.

grrParticipantChris…I’d say give it another shot if it’s been a while. The Pumpkin_Curry soup was pretty amazing…as was the Slab Of Beef. Saw a few burgers zipping that looks tasty… It ain’t Spring Hill, but it’s not supposed to be. Just a killer ‘local’ joint with a pretty creative chef and a KILLER wine list.

c@lbobMemberEndive salad, thumbs up; lamb chops, two big thumbs up; red pepper bisque, fabulous; Kinda Blue (mac and blue cheese), inspired; every cocktail I’ve tried (Manhattan, Martini, Sazerac, Sidecar), none better in Seattle; jazz music, I like it a lot – e.g. I don’t recall hearing jazz steel guitar anywhere else, but he and his jazz arch top partner make a great sound.
The Bohemian is quite clear about being in the small plate and libation business. As a neighborhood bistro, I think it is definitely a cut above the likes of Shadowland, West 5, and Skylark. That’s not to put down the competition, I frequent those establishments, as well. I like having many choices nearby, and the Bohemian is at the top of the list.
