In mid-April my boyfriend and I moved into a fixer-upper in upper Gatewood. The neighbors on both sides of us wasted no time in coming over to introduce themselves and welcome us to the neighborhood. That would have been nice enough but they continue to be friendly and kind. We talk over the fences almost every day. I didn’t know people still did that!

Living in a project house can get overwhelming but hearing a neighbor comment on the small improvements you’ve managed to make is really rewarding! You folks rock!

    yes, people still do that…

i am glad you found good neighbors.

i bet you have a wealth of fix-up experience in that neighborhood too so don’t be shy abut asking questions..

My neighbors to the east build a ramp for my scooter to get in and out of its shed, and they take care of my cat when I go away. My neighbor to the west found me a car to buy, and negotiated a screamin’ deal for it. I have completely lucked out with my MoJunc neighbors!!

I also feel that I’ve lucked out with my MoJunc neighbors. We check in on each other during the storms or illness. We make sure everyone knows when there’s been a burgulary or someone’s seen kinda stalking the houses or cars. One favor begets another.

Thing is…I think that’s pretty common here in Seattle.

A very nice city, I must say.
