This Fall, Inspire Washington in partnership with ArtsFund will host the Cultural Candidate Forums for the races for King County Council district 2, 8, and Seattle City Council district 5. These events will provide general election contenders the opportunity to outline their plans for restoring, supporting, and expanding the region’s cultural arts, heritage, and natural science fields. The candidates for King County District 8 are Nick Duda and Teresa Mosqueda.

Questions for the candidates will be prepared by a Inspire Washington’s District Team (a diverse array of cultural leaders) to focus on specific needs, areas for growth, and threat mitigation. The forums will feature performances from local artists between moderated sessions with the candidates. In-person audience participation is encouraged but all events will be livestreamed. The venue is ADA accessible, and the event will be close captioned. This event is educational only and Inspire Washington does not endorse candidates. This event is free and open to the public.
