bsmommaParticipantI don’t know what they did to there recipe, but I am in trouble! My daughter begged to go to the Cupcake store. I didn’t particularily care for there cupcakes because they were to dry and had a corn bread effect to them. But I caved. And oh my goodness, they were delicious! We went at about 5 on Wednesday and they had plenty of cupcakes. If you haven’t tried them lately, I highly suggest to give them another whirl!

WSMomParticipantIt feels good to frequent a business which provides health insurance for it’s employees. I’ve been told that Bartell’s is also very generous with employee benefits.

CrystalizedGingerMemberI agree that Cupcake Royale has made thier cakes better. I have avoided them since I first tried them a year ago due to the cake consistency- dry,dry dry. Went back twice more, different times of day, same bricks. Apparently I wasn’t the only one to complain, as I saw an ad in The Stranger a few weeks ago with Cupcake Royale advertising “Now! Moister!”
So I gave them another try, and yep, much better.
To plug another West Seattle business, The Sugar Rush Baking Company/Coffee to a Tea with Sugar, right across the street, has consistently had wonderful cake and frosting and a wider array of minicupcakes too. Clean case and nice people, and in my opinion, more warm and welcoming atmosphere with child friendly area in back, adults with laptops in the front.
