RAVE: Chris Taylor Tile

We just had our bath remodeled by Chris Taylor, a local West Seattle tiler. I got his name from the WSB reader recommendations, so I wanted to place a RAVE up here to say that we were very pleased with his work. He was super communicative, knowledgeable, and very fair in terms of pricing. We had a bunch of unknown things happen (rot in wall, electrical snags, delayed materials) and he really went with the flow of it all, and only ended up charging us a very reasonable amount extra for all this surprise stuff (which we had walked through as a possibility when we started, as we knew we may have some rot in the wall behind shower.) He also worked very well with our plumber and electrician, picking up pieces of their work when more convenient for us. Because he lived right around the corner, it was easy to meet with him and he was always available via phone and text as well. If anyone wants pics of his great tile work, just contact me here. Lastly, I had a minor freak out about a tile issue that turned out to be nothing. But Chris talked me through the whole thing, never got frustrated with me, and laid out all the options for us during the process. In the end, he volunteered to run and grout a portion of the bath to demonstrate how everything would look when complete, which is when I realized I didn’t know what I was talking about :) This is a great GC, someone you can talk through an issue with and always feel like he hears you and is willing to work with you. RAVE!!!
