charlabobParticipantAnbody know a place in WS where I can buy a rainbow flag? I’d like to fly it from semi-proper front porch and learned, to my dismay, that my favorite flag store in ballard seems to be out of business.
The Westboro (Baptist Church) folks are going to be in town protesting pride weekend, so it seems necessary to do something to protest their entire existence :-)
Thanks!

SueParticipantNot WS, but you might want to call this kite store on Stone Way and ask them if they have it – I’ve seen various flags there before: http://gasworksparkkiteshop.com

flowerpetalMemberI’m not sure where you could get one at this short notice; but there are flag/banner sales usually at the Fremont fair which is this weekend. Perhaps there. I could scout for you on Saturday. And at the Pride festival next week surely you can purchase one; maybe for next year? Let me know if I can help with that Charla.

anonymeParticipantSo, the Westboro Baptists are going to descend upon us the same weekend as 22,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses? We’re gonna need more than flags to deal with a plague such as this…

LenaParticipantAmazon has many varieties including some that are prime (if you have a prime membership)

KevinParticipantI Googled and then called, and “Carol” has FOUR different sizes from small to medium and large (3’x 5′) at prices from $12 to $28. All 4 currently in stock.

jmksMemberYou might also try contacting the West Seattle UU church. From everything I hear they are a great group of people (across Seattle), and they will be protesting WBC with their Standing on the Side of Love advocacy group during pride week. Perhaps they have additional support items that they can share with community members.

charlabobParticipantThank you ALL—Especially about the counter protest info. I ordered two on line a few weeks ago and both wound up being backordered; I assume that means there’s a great demand!
