JustSarahParticipantI’m taking my dad to lunch around 1:00 today and need some restaurant suggestions. Many of my go-to places aren’t open Sundays, at least not for lunch, including Kokoras, Abbondanza, and Buddha Ruksa. I’d like something on the lighter side, and we went to Cactus last time, so that’s out. Any suggestions are appreciated; we’ll default to Elliott Bay Brewing otherwise.
Oh, and I’d like in West Seattle and non-brunch (neither of us cares for brunch foods). Thanks!

FullTiltParticipantEl Salvadorian Bakery. Papusas, kind of like tacos, only different. OR even though it is kinda gloomy, the fish place that is on the fishing pier in ALki.

JustSarahParticipantFullTilt – I’ve been meaning to try the savory items from the Salvadorean bakery. That’s up there on the list now – thanks!

JustSarahParticipantThanks for all the suggestions! Dad’s running a little late, so I had another moment to check in. I think we will hit the Salvadorean Bakery this time, because I remembered him mentioning wanting to try it. All suggestions were good, and now I have a little list of impromptu Sunday lunch spots. It’s a little disappointing how many of our great restaurants are closed Sundays, but there are many places I’d completely forgotten about. Thanks!!

SueParticipantI know you already made a decision on where to go, but I often end up at Kamei for lunch on Sundays for sushi/japanese – they’re right next door to Lee’s Asian in the junction. Kamei is closed on Saturdays at lunch, but open on Sunday. Another place I like to go for lunch is Royal India near Admiral – across from the theater.
