rockergirlMemberAnyone want some Sugar Pumpkin plants? I planted to many seeds and need to thin them out – anyone want some? Send me a PM and I will let you know how to pick them up. Also if anyone has any extra Tomato starts they want to give me I could use 4 – 5 more plants. Thanks!

miwsParticipantYeah, the PM function has been temporarily disabled, per this message from TR:
“It’s been removed TFN. May be a matter of days but I can’t say for sure. We need to work on a few things including a clear Terms of Service for its use, which will be posted before it returns.
Apologies to anyone inconvenienced – and if you need to get a hold of someone off the board in the meantime, you can do what we did before: Send us a note and we will mediate to put you in touch with each other. editor@westseattleblog.com
thanks!”
So, for anyone not comfortable in posting their e-mail addy here on the Forum, send WSB an e-mail, and they will act as the go-between. :-)

PatrickKeymasterThanks Mike.
Also please note that there is a serious security hole in the PM software. There is no timetable for when that will be resolved and until it is resolved we will not reinstall the feature.

katydidMemberHello rockergirl…just this week ended up in foot cast and while this doesn’t completely immobolize me; it is wearing me out. So I would like to withdraw my request for pumpkin plants and thank you for your kind offer.
Looks like you will have others who will take some. Thanks again.

MargLMemberrockergirl – I have 3 ‘sweetie’ cherry tomato starts and 3 beefsteak starts if you want them. They’re sitting in my seed starter and I fully expected them to die by now. They’re kinda ratty looking but apparently quite hardy. :-)
I’d put a pic in but can’t figure out the code!

ws4everMemberRockergirl,
Thank you for the 2 sugar pumpkin starts! Both plants have grown well and the older pumpkins have orange pigment that’s starting. I’ve removed male and female flowers so the plant will ripen existing fruit. Any tips re harvesting and storing these beauties? Thanks again for your generosity in sharing the starts. Sincerely, Shawn
