FauntlebbMemberAnyone have suggestions where propane is available in West Seattle, to fill the tank for the BBQ? I know about U=Haul but they’re often short staffed and sometimes can’t get it in a resonable time or they forget you.
Thanks in advance for the tip.

lazybeardParticipantThere is the Not-Unical 76 gas station on Roxbury, just east of 35th. That’s all I know.

tsunaminwMemberI get mine at the gas station on the east side of the road on the corner by Taco time and Starbucks just after you get into west seattle. Sorry I do not know the name of the station.

FauntlebbMemberTrue Value it is, keep the money local, I say. I called, it’s easy, just swap tanks and you’re good to go. THANKS for the recomendations.

swimcatMemberThere was something on the news the other night that most propane providers were not filling the tanks all the way, so make sure your new one is full! I think it had to do with locations that have the pre-filled tanks to exchange, not places like U-Haul where they fill them up right there for you.

KBearParticipantTrue Value is a great store. We are so lucky to have it here in the Junction. It’s walking distance from my house, so I shop there all the time.

tsunaminwMemberI support true value and forget it is there so thanks for the reminder.
And it says right on the tank not to fill it 100%. It isn’t safe. The new ones aren’t filled 100% either, its the law.

miwsParticipantI like the Hank Hill reference too. :-)
Propane is something that would seem *so* mundane to many people, but to Hank, it’s his life.
I think he’d literally put his life on the line to defend people’s “right” to propane. (And propane accessories!) ;-)
