I would like to start taking Pilates classes, but need some recommendations on where to go (beginner here). Maybe private to start and then group? An idea on rates at the different places would be helpful too. I have seen a couple online, but I know there are others. Thanks!

    Huh?

    Oh.

I thought you said PIRATES class recommendations.

    Never mind.

If Burien is not to far away.(128/Ambaum) Jennifer at New Life Pilates,(206-498-9808) she works out of her home. She does small classes and privates, prices are very reasonable.

Not West Seattle, but Pilates International is the best. They teach the traditional Pilates and are located on Fairview. I go once a week and hopefully two times soon.

Speaking of Pirates, who’s doing the SeaFair 8K?

Speaking of Pirates, you can join me and dress up like one at the inagural running of the West Seattle Float Dodger 5k, running down California Ave. preceding the parade on Saturday July 21st!

I’ve been taking group classes for a couple of years with Pilates With Pam in Arbor Heights and have really liked the results. It’s never boring and is good for all levels. http://pilateswithpamseattle.com/contact-pilates-with-pam-seattle/
