    We are in need of a part time (20-30 hrs/wk) addition to our team!

    Our firm provides wholesale Specialty Pet Products to the trade. Established, 20 years in the industry. We are a team of pet loving professionals. Ultimately casual, and with a strong priority on good camaraderie. Must understand love of companion pets!

    Must be self motivated, customer service oriented, organized and very detail oriented.

    Requires a person who can work a whole day in the office or in the field. Some lifting when on sales calls, so candidate should be ok with that!

    Candidate must be adept at Microsoft Office– any Social Media/Graphics/ Marketing Skills are an extreme plus.

    Some sales experience would be a big plus, and some past customer service experience is required.

    The ability to communicate openly and effectively with owner as well as co workers is an absolute requirement.

    We are in a growth stage in the business right now, with new employees and sales people, so candidate must be flexible and able to work in to what ultimately will be a fairly autonomous role. Due to the fact that the office has recently moved, all of the dust has not yet settled and all of the daily tasks/roles are not yet close to being defined. At first, I am certain every day will hold surprises, and some days it will be necessary to negotiate our way through confusion. Although things are not static yet, it would be an awesome time for the right person to get on board and see how and where his/her skills will be best utilized.

    You will be working West Seattle. Very Close to the WS Bridge.

    Regular responsibilities at this time include but are not limited to the following:

    (may change as we all settle in to our new jobs/ location.)

    Responding promptly to emails, processing orders, organizing sales materials (both print and e-version), managing Drop Box, maintaining, building, updating and organizing email lists, disseminating information to different sectors of the business, accompanying and assisting owner on sales calls, assisting in management of outside sales staff, organizing product samples, and overall providing owner with assistance in all business matters upon request.

    Candidate must be nimble, with an ability to multi-task and to re-focus his/her efforts according to what is happening in the current moment.

    Candidate must be open to direction and not resistant to authority. Initially, many daily priorities and overall priorities will be fluctuating and changing due to growth rate of personnel and recent change of venue. Owner would like to work aside a qualified individual who is willing to spend time defining his/her role, duties, and schedule as work relationship and mutual trust levels develop. There is potential for advancement, and flexibility upon request for some responsibility allocation.

    We are looking for a positive, team-playing, respectful and trustworthy individual who desires to embark on the challenge of creating and establishing his or herself as an anchor employee of the business.
