Any recs on a good, reasonably priced personal trainer in West Seattle? I am willing to join a gym (other than west seattle athletic club) if there are stellar recommendations for a trainer at any specific place but would love to support someone independent!

    I highly recommend Teresa Spraggins.

My wife and I have been working with her for about 6 months and have had great results. She works out of the Fitness Revolution space above Jan’s Beauty in the junction. Teresa asks the most of us, but in a respectful way. She’s very flexible on appointment times and also very dependable.

Yes! Candace Conaty who teaches fitness classes at Starbucks HQ will train you in your home or wherever you want, bringing all her own gear, for $40/hr. Total bargain. Only downside is her schedule is a bit limited, but I trained with her for over a year and thought she was great! candaceconaty at gmail dot com.

Sweat Fitness in the Fauntleroy Schoolhouse. Jeoff or Myung. Independent. Very good. Private or semi private.

Hi, I do in-home personal training and would love to chat if you’re interested. I do both individual and group exercises depending on your needs. You can email me at robinnmartin@hotmail.com.

    Thanks!

Mary Little with Wellness By Little is amazing! She too is an in-home/preferred location trainer, but is very reasonably priced…. She is also a nutritionist, which I appreciated since that plays such a large role depending on your overall goals! Even a local West Seattleite :)

    Her website is http://www.wellnessbylittle.com

I highly recommend Thomas Alexander at EQ Fitness near the Admiral Junction. He’s great to work with. I was dealing with health issues so every work out was tailored to where I was at on that day: challenging on days when I had the energy, lower key but satisfying work outs on my bad days. Workouts were creative and fun and helped me get through the health issues as well as working through and beginning to correct some lingering issues from a car accident 30 years ago. I always left workouts feeling satisfyingly tired yet energized.
