New time: 1 Pm to 2 Pm

New schedule: 1st and 3rd thursdays of the month..

Same place: Cafe Rozella in White Center

    http://www.caferozella.com/

I made myself pretty ill trying to do too much.. so we are going to scale down.

I am committing to an hour. if conversation warrants, we may stay later.

As always, you are looking for a plump middle aged lady in a long skirt with bangs, a bob and more grey than strawberry blond. I suspect i will have a book in hand, though i have finished the last one… so i am not sure what it will be.

We are a solution oriented group, so will be talking about what works for us… and because so many of us are hypersensitive to perfumes, I ask that you don’t wear any.

    JoB–

It is so good of you to do this. My mom has had CFIDS for 20 years, and benefitted enormously from the support group she joined in those early years (in the Tacoma area). I understand how challenging it can be to your own wellness to try to take on running a support group.

    Thanks again! Bless you!

    Raindanc42..

thanks.. tho it is challenging , it is also rewarding. i have always gotten more from my groups than i gave… except for a short 4 year break while i was in Minnesota, i have been doing this for nearly 20 years now:)

    PlaneGuy..

because of my need to scale back..i won’t be there next week.

    the next meeting will be

thursday Oct 1, the first thursday of october.

We will be doing the first and third thursdays of the month.. for an hour.. starting at 1 PM.

we did stay over just a little this week due to some interesting conversation, but i think we were plenty worn out in an hour:(

if anyone wants to contact me in the meantime about FMS/CFS or chronic illness issues, please feel free to email me at

I will try to be prompt in returning your email.

    What I’m reading now..

The Fibromyalgia Solution by David Dryland, MD and Lorie List

I hesitate to read any book that says it has THE answer, but i met David years ago when he was beginning to be known for treating fibromyalgia patients in Medford, Oregon and he may have something here.

I am only part way through, but I am finding his hypothesis plausible…

i’ll let you know what i think when i finish.

    PlaneGuy,

either you are very shy or we were different places at the same time.

    ****

either this is a poor choice of time and place or I need to publicize it better and earlier or there is little need for a FMS/CFS support group in West Seattle.

With no crystal ball, i would appreciate input.

you can comment or contact me privately at joanne at brayden dot org
