BlendParticipantHi Everyone,
I am starting a project and wanted to share it here. I would like to open a Juice Bar and Cafe in West Seattle.
Anyways, if you want to take a look and help support the project, please visit this link: http://www.gofundme.com/blend
Here is a link to the website: http://blendwestseattle.webs.com/
Any feedback is welcome and contributions are appreciated.
Here’s a little blurb from the website: Blend is a Juice Bar & Café coming to West Seattle??…serving Smoothies & Juice, Big Salads, Baked Potatoes, Non-dairy Soft Ice Cream and more. Ingredients are organic, fresh and local.
We also do custom non-dairy cakes and pies. We make it fast and easy… just come in, fill out the order form and take it to the register, or you can call ahead and we will have it ready for you in recyclable container.
More and more movies like Food, Inc and Forks over Knives are coming out telling us how much our food choices are harming us and the planet.
We would much rather eat food for comfort and enjoyment than nutritional content.
We are eating foods that are over processed and filled with additives that lead to things like diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, just to name a few.
Did you know healthy plant based meals can be good for you and taste good too?
When switching to a plant based diet, we must mimic the foods we were eating in order to succeed and feel satisfied. But with our busy lifestyle, we don’t have the time to prepare these types of meals. What if you could easily get them?
You can change your diet and your lifestyle by supporting our campaign.
The time is now, we can all make a change and still enjoy food as much, or even more than ever.
Support us, so we can support you in changing your diet and your life.

SKBMemberThis appears to be a very creative way to raise start up capital for your proposed business. So would contributors be considered investors since this would not be a tax deductible charitable donation?

BlendParticipantHi SKB,
Thanks! Backers get non-dairy desserts like Coconut Date Cookies, Strawberry Cheesecakes, Banana Cream Pie, and Carrot Cake, in exchange for their contribution. They would not be considered investors.
You should try these desserts, they taste great and you don’t feel weighed down and yucky after eating them because they are void of refined sugars and flour. I actually lost 80 pounds switching to a plant based diet and eating these yummy treats! I didn’t switch all at once cold turkey, it was a slow transition by adding more and more fruits and veggies, I did not desire the heavy meats and cheeses as much.
I don’t think people should force themselves to quit eating meat and cheese right away, but rather add things like fresh juice and veggies to their diet and let it naturally happen. And even if you do believe that eating meat and cheese is good for you, it’s still good to get more fruits and veggies in your diet for a nice balance.
