Need somewhere that is not a vet office to board my cats for a few hours this weekend. Having an open house and don’t want them to escape while people are wandering in and out of our house. Does anyone have any ideas? Using a vet office would require exams and shots that they don’t need (we just get the basic ones). These are 2 old, sedentary, indoor cats who just want a warm spot to sleep in. Thanks for any suggestions.

Josie — I am going out on a huge limb here (mainly b/c hubby doesn’t really enjoy cats although I’ve had a few). Would be happy to have your felines hang out in our (never opened) garage on their favorite blankies for your open house… IF they wouldn’t mind 2 curious kiddos staring at them for a few moments here and there (I PROMISE they won’t terrorize them in the least — one is allergic to dogs so knows not to touch or go near animals unless mom is around and supervising & that it’s a very special occasion.)

If we can help, please let me know your contact info.

I do rescue and have a completely empty 1 bedroom apartment downstairs they can hang out as long as you need them too. No kittens or rescues down there and newly remodeled:)

Many, many thanks to good neighbors hammerhead and jissy…I posted this with only dim hope of finding a solution to my dilemma and instead got 2 excellent options! Problem solved. I love WSB so much. Happy Friday everyone.
