Whatever you do, make sure you hire someone local with a storefront!! The online “emergency” locksmiths are criminals – literally! “Vincent’s Locksmith Men” gives Thriftway’s address and have a blocked phone number, so after 2 days, when their $600 locks fail, they can’t be found.

I’ve heard good things about the company with “Alki” in their name. Sorry, I don’t remember the exact name.

Big recommendation for Charity, Scott and Stan at “Locksmith Services Inc.” at 2607 California Ave SW (in the Alaska Junction). Tiny shop, but they really know their stuff. They expertly and quickly cut the “blade” type key that my car uses. Their phone number for the West Seattle area is 206-935-7538.

Locksmith Services is the best, though they are actually in North Admiral. “Stan’s the Man,” he knows his stuff and I’ve used him many times for emergencies and various things.

You know, that felt wrong as I was typing it but I couldn’t figure out what my mistake was. Locksmith Services is, indeed, in the Admiral Junction not the Alaska Junction.
