yikesMemberOk, so I bought in to Xfinity’s special for their basic bundle and spent lots of time trying to track their moving prices up and then I’d call, then down, then up again and I’d call. Last December, I missed the payment because my bill didn’t arrive and Dec is crazy. I get a call in Jan, before the Jan bill was due from a ‘bill collector’. They were nasty and threatened me with action if I didn’t pay an amount that was twice my monthly bill. I called Xfinity and found out that the nasty folk were their own employees. My payment history is excellent and these guys really shook me up…
So contacted Century Link and their deal seems much better and guarenteed for 5 years. But the folks at xfinity say that Century Link has a contract with Direct TV and that I could really get screwed if their contract goes bad.
I’m at the point where I’m ready to give up altogether… can anyone weigh in with some knowledge on these guys?

SeekingEurosParticipantI have had Qwest, now Century LInk for my DSL for 10+ years as well as DirectTv. I only agree to an annual contract, as I find that every year I get a service upgrade with no cost increase. While I might save $$ a few by a longer contract, I would be stuck with slower DSL. Never had any other DSL problem. Recent DirectTv pixelization on one tv that they fixed with service calls. I think highly of both as I had a nightmare with Comcast.

clark5080ParticipantVery frustrated with comcast. bill just went up 25.00 per month and I don’t want to pay 190 per month for phone, internet and TV so going to look at other possibilities. Even may look into getting an antenna and streaming also

yikesMemberSo you can still just use an antenna, like in the old days? I’ve got good streaming from Amazon, so basic channels would be fine!
