tom kelleyParticipantWe bought our house from Kelly Hintz, who at the time (1999) was a broker at Shelter Mortgage. In that transaction he demonstrated himself to be, “a man of his word”. When it was time to refinance we called him and found to our delight that he had moved to Wells Fargo to whom our mortgage had been sold. His candid, on-top-of-it approach made the entire refinance process fast and stress free. Four stars! He can be reached at Wells Fargo.

AimParticipantLynda Myrick at Evergreen.
She is FANTASTIC!! She will walk you through the process from “I think I’d like to buy a home someday, what should I do to prepare?” to “this is my 10th home and I know what I’m doing” and everything in between. She’s kind, professional, FAST to respond, always available, and a sheer pleasure to work with.
Because I’m a nerd and wanted to understand all the numbers, she gave me spreadsheets with macros built in so I could pop in a purchase price for any home we were thinking of making an offer on, and it would show me all the details from PMI (if applicable) to payment amount to down payment, and 3-4 different financing choices (FHA, Conventional, etc)
I’ve now sent 5 or 6 people to her, and every single one has liked her as much as I did. She made our first home buying process FUN and EASY. In addition, she’s been happy to answer all the random questions I’ve come up with afterward.
Lastly, she told me to call or email her at ANY point if we ever have trouble or questions with our mortgage. Her entire approach is about homeowner education, as she wants to empower homeowners with the knowledge it takes to make choices so you don’t end up in a home you can’t afford. She’s even working with someone I know who has NO credit due to having paid cash for everything their whole life (not bad credit, but NONE. No file at all whatsoever.) Lynda is helping them to begin building their credit file with the goal of buying a home once they’re ready.
I can not recommend anyone more highly than I recommend Lynda. Tell her Amy G sent you.

I bought my first home in September and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Carmel as my loan officer. She was by my side every step of the way. She didn’t mind any of my one thousand questions or the multiple explanations I needed. Not only is she a great at what she does, but she is such a kind and thoughtful person. She’s incredibly knowledgeable on everything to do with real estate and mortgages. I recommend Carmel to anyone looking for help buying or refinancing a home.
