dobroParticipantI can’t seem to get the second photo smaller, sorry. Anyway, I’m looking for a chair like this and wonder if any West Seattlites have one like it that they may not want. Why?, you are thinking… My wife does a lot of gardening and needs a chair that is low to the ground, has a large seat, and low arms. She’s had this one for a few years but during the recent cold spell I picked it up and banged it on the ground to knock the snow off and the leg, having become brittle in the cold, broke off!
This one sits just about a foot off the ground. The model seems like an old one and I haven’t found anything new that’s exactly like it, so I’m asking West Seattle. Anybody got something like this that they could part with?

metrognomeParticipantdobro – that looks like an Adirondack chair with less slant to the seat than usual. the design has an inherent weak spot … exactly where it broke. I used google images to see what’s out there now and found the following:
Adams Mfg Corp Earth Brown Resin Adirondack Chair (it comes in other colors)

go luck!

wakefloodParticipantAnd if those options somehow don’t get it done, I do know of another short chair. It’s the ones that folks use at the Gorge or other outdoor venues to keep lower profile whilst not getting your ass soaking wet on the damp lawn. The seat is only 6 inches off the ground – so maybe that’s TOO low? Usually made of fabric over a metal tube frame.

trickycooljParticipantProbably a little early right now but as it gets warmer check places like Bartell’s or Rite Aid for sand chair/beach chair. The low folding type that you use to sit in the surf. The bonus is that it might be easier to carry around the yard for gardening and folds flat to store inside during the crummy months.

dobroParticipantJust wanted to bump this back up. The one that I’m hoping to replace is a low sitting hard plastic chair that has a pull out recliner footrest ( you can kinda see it in the second picture). If I can find a suitable one, I’m willing to pay something for it.

dobroParticipantThank you!!!!! That’s exactly the one I was looking for! This will allow my wife to work in her garden (which she is biting at the bit to do! C’mon Spring!)
