service dog academyMemberKing County installed 2 bus stops within a house of my home. Its non stop hissing, humming, road noise, gunning of the bus engines to get up Genesee hill and constant trash in my front yard. I used to love the bus but my sleep deprivation is starting to get the better of me. Im sleeping with a fan on and 33NR decibel ear plugs and I still cant sleep once the busses start up in the morning. My house was not built to deal with this level of traffic noise. Does anyone know of any precedence where King County has paid for sound proofing someones house/windows after placing a bus stop in their front yard? Sleep deprivation seriously aggravates my numerous medical conditions.

shed22ParticipantI don’t have an answer for you but I understand. I grapple with the 7am recycling trucks rumbling less than 10ft from my sleeping head. Sleep is sacred.
