I want to share how dynamic this has been.. since we had our meeting.. we have received many offers of assistance… and purses…. theVelvetBuldog has put us in touch with the people at the WS Food Bank… and a member who wishes to remain anonymous for now sent us a bidding slip form for the silent auction…

house said he would donate a grocery cart of food to the food bank if we also provided info for services at the same time.. and we found out that our local food bank does exactly that! They do all of the counseling house requested….

and we are pretty sure we will have a representative from the food bank at our event to tell everyone what is available there and what it means to those who receive it….

house, will you be bringing your donation to the event? that would be great fun! we all want to meet you.

unfortunately.. i am too tired to write our press release tonight.. but i will get it to WSB in the morning… our event is well on it’s way!

I don’t think it would be possible to plan and execute an event this fast (in one weekend) without something like this forum… and i want to say thanks to those of you who are making it possible…

i think we are going to have fun…

ok.. it isn’t WSBs fault you don’t have a press release yet… it is taking me forever…

it turns out people are really enthusiastic about this idea…

representatives from both West seattle Food Bank and Seattle Dress for Success plan to attend.. and even better.. we expect actual West Seattle blog readers/forum members.

And we may have purses from Nordstrom buyers (one of our members is the mother of a buyer for Nordstom… can we say designer??? )
