Hi all you talented people I need some help. I am trying to limit what songs are on my I-Pod (I downloaded Christmas Music for the holidays) and now I can’t get it off of my I-Pod. I have clicked on my device and have clicked music and have synced music by artist and by playlist and by genre updating each time and I still can not remove the Christmas music from my I-Pod’s play list. What am I doing wrong? Is there somewhere else I need to uncheck?

Try plugging it into your computer, like how you would normally sinc music to it. Then open the ipod as if it were a flash drive or similar device. Then try to delete the songs that way. Good luck.

When the iPod is plugged in and iTunes is open, select the iPod on the left, then the music tab at the top (it may say playlists depending on your device/version of iTunes). From there you can select which playlists or artists (depending again).

If you don’t have your music sorted by playlists, this might be a good time to do that. It takes some time but in the long run makes it easier to manage what is on your device.

On your computer, go to iTunes.

Go to Genres: Christmas and Holiday.

Select all songs in each Genre.

Right click and from the popup window go to “Uncheck selection”. Now none of these songs are checked.

When you connect your iPod to the computer, click on iTunes and then highlight your iPod.

Under the Summary tab for the iPod, check the “Sync only selected songs” box.

Click the Sync button and say goodbye to Christmas!
