ARCjobsParticipantAssociated Recreation Council is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to carry out a variety of human resource related functions. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to HRIS administration, safety programs and worker’s compensation, records management, and compliance. This person will assist the Human Resources Generalist and Director of Human Resources in supporting the organization’s HR initiatives and goals.
Employee Relations
•Issue adverse action letter to ineligible candidates
•Participation in ARC committees as an HR Department representative
•Be the first point of contact in the ARC HR Department for field staff and the public
•Elevate employee relations issues to the HR Director
•Process status changes including promotions, transfers, and terminationsHRIS Administration
•Manages the day-to-day operations of the HRIS system by accurately entering personnel changes, status changes, updating personnel information and maintaining employee data in a timely matter
•Responsible for researching and resolving functionality and technical issues
•Creates, runs, maintains and distributes routine and ad hoc reports
•Manages the day to day operations of the employee Self-Service function of the HRISCompliance
•Ensures accurate completion and retention of I-9s
•Manage minors work authorization compliance
•Audit, prepare, and file new hire paperworkUnemployment Insurance
•Respond to unemployment requests and complete required paperwork
•Elevate unemployment related issues to HR Generalist
•Monitor unemployment related activitiesSafety and Workers Compensation
•Acts as the company safety representative
•Manages and coordinates site specific safety trainings (Field Safety Meetings), processes, and procedures. Maintains all required safety documentations.General
•Maintain high confidentiality around employee data, information, and issues
•Track and follow up on missing paperwork and required documents
•Assist with various administrative projects and audits as assigned by the HR Generalist
•Maintains personnel files
•Complete employment verification requestsMinimum Requirements:
•Associates degree in a HR, Business, or related field or equivalent experience and knowledge
•Minimum 1+ years of Human Resources experience
•Some working knowledge of HRIS, (iSolved experience a plus)
•Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
•Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, in both verbally and in writing, with individuals at all levels of the organizations, partners and vendors
•Adapt to new assignments and changing environments with short notice
•Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
•Strong MS Office Suite skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
•Ability to handle confidential information and knowledge of sensitive situations appropriatelyThis is a full-time, year-round position. Schedule is Monday through Friday 40 hours per week.
