    Thank you for this, Jan.

I encourage all the homeless of the this country to come to Seattle. I welcome them because we are a great community here and need to set an example and lead. West Seattle by the Junction should have a place like the Senior Center were the unfortunate can come to rest and put their legs up. How come we don’t have a homeless rest stop here by the Junction? It only makes sense. I also think some of the local restaurants in the Junction should feed those who are sleeping on the streets. Seriously. Be human and caring.

Alki Warrior…sadly, there are too many among us who thing that all homeless people are shiftless bums looking for a hand out, or drug addicts/alcoholics, and should be run out of town on a rail. I find that abhorrent, but it’s the attitude that some take. Out of sight, out of mind.

    Alki Warrior…

FYI… there are restaurants in the greater West Seattle area who feed the homeless out the back door at closing time.

and an urban rest stop in our area wouldn’t be a bad idea.. with showers and computers and lockers

it sure would improve the smell on the bus

the homeless on our streets have to go downtown to shower

and…once a month, a restaurant named St. Cloud’s in Madrona, has a Monday night Meatloaf For a Cause meal, and the following Wed., they have a group cooking project that provides meals to about 7 different shelters. You, too, can join in…info here : http://stclouds.com/NewFiles/community.html
