EmmyJaneParticipantHas anyone taken wedding pics outside in West Seattle? We were going to go to Lincoln Park, but now I’m thinking a park might be a little dirty for a poofy white dress? Plus, I might have to temporarily let little Emmy Jane off leash for her glamour flower girl shots and I know people don’t like doggies off leash in the park. :-)
Please let me know if you’d recommend any spots in W. Seattle (please be specific, I know Alki would be great, but I’d love to know exactly where!!)

celeste17ParticipantI like the area between Salty’s and the water taxi dock. It gives you a background of the city. Or maybe Hamilton Viewpoint.

kiridaParticipantI’ve done great wedding photos at Jack Block Park, especially on the pier there, but be warned, it can get windy. You have to have super shellac on your hair and take photos very quickly.
The Chinese Garden at South Seattle Community College is also a stunning location. The grounds are gorgeous with some city views and reflecting pond that has always served me well. I’ve had lots of success there with wedding and portrait shots.

WSLiferParticipantJust went to a wedding at Hamilton Viewpoint in August and the setting for pix was perfect. Great city view, water, ferries. The hill falls away so you can get great shots of wedding party on ‘the bluff’ with the city in the background.
On Alki, choose a spot with logs (across from Pioneer coffee by the volleyball nets) so you can get sand & pebbles & driftwood too.

DunnoParticipantLeave it to me to bring you a wedding shot very few have.
There are two great photo opps at WS Golf Course.
You’d have to talk to Colin Gants head pro at 935-5187. The #1 tee box with Mt. Rainier looming or the tee box on #12 with a perfect frame of downtown Seattle through the trees. How about the Alki light house.
Of course the logical shot from Cafe Revo with the steel mill as your backdrop…maybe not.

EmmyJaneParticipantThanks everyone for your suggestions! We’ll go check out these locations today. :-)
