anonymeParticipantDoes anyone know of a good holistic vet in or near West Seattle? I also need someone who can do a dental on a large dog for a reasonable price. The quote from my vet was over $700 which is out of the question given my current income. A former co-worker of mine raved about a vet in Burien. Would this have been 5 Corners? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

mannamcParticipantI really like Mercy Vet on Mercer Island. They even have a dentist that does not use anesthesia (for cleanings at least). http://www.mercyvet.com/

justcuzMemberDon’t know if you’re talking about more involved services or not, but as I recall, South Seattle Vet charges a lot less ($120?) for a routine dental. They may now technically be Burien with the new boundary – http://www.southseattlevet.com

LenaParticipantLisa Reising 206-412-0299 and I http://www.lenamccullough.com/ are the only holistic vets actually in West Seattle. My own practice is exclusively acupuncture and herbal medicine. Lisa’s is quite similar, also mostly acupuncture.
I usually book about a month old. Lisa is a little easier to get in with.
Mercy vet is a good option if you are looking for a full service holistic vet clinic.
Seattle Natural Vet is Ballard is also a good option. Kate Fernald does holistic medicine and chriopractics. She is more full service than me and Lisa but I don’t believe does surgery or dentals.

Most of the animals I treat use Lien Animal as their primary vet and although they are not holistic they are very open to holistic treatments.
