My husband and I have recently moved to West Seattle, and we’re looking for a good general practitioner. We don’t have children, we’re healthy and in our early forties, and we have good insurance; our main criteria are friendliness, willingness to listen, and competence/professionalism.

We tried visiting one GP earlier in the year by just randomly choosing from our insurance list, and while the doctor was pleasant enough, the office itself was dirty and not very confidence-inspiring. Anyone know of any great doctors around? Thanks in advance!

If you don’t mind an ARNP, I would recommend Chris Porter. His office is on Alaska, and he shares space with a doctor there who I’ve also heard good things about.

Another good ARNP is Marty Couret at West Seattle Highline (now part of Franciscan), and I’ve also had a good experience with Dr. Hoang at that location.
