LukeParticipantHello, I need some fried chicken on Saturday. I guess I could go to KFC, but is there a better option around here? Yelp is useless…

squareeyesParticipantI haven’t tried it but I bet you will get a recommendation or two for Harry’s on California between Graham and Raymond. I keep meaning to get there.

clark5080ParticipantJoe’s

justduckyParticipantI can vouch for Harry’s…so much better than what you will find at the grocery or KFC.
I would call in your order the day before to make sure you can get what you need. mmmm…duck fat biscuits.
Another place is ma’ono, but I have not had their fried chicken, their food in general is very good though.

wakefloodParticipantI prefer Joe’s to Harry’s. I find Harry’s to be overbreaded and a little under seasoned…save the black pepper which is…a bit overdone, IMO.

trickycooljParticipantI like Harry’s but since it’s only a 1/2 or whole bird it’s a bit much unless I have company. Thriftway isn’t too bad for grocery store fried chicken. I’ve picked it up a few times after doing yard work.

justduckyParticipantwakeflood-will try Joe’s next time I’m craving fried chicken. Harry’s is just so darn close to me. Sometimes I make a special trip to Heaven Sent-the ‘original’ Ezell.

MParticipantI always go to super saver on 16th in white center(the old albertsons) the fried chicken is amazing!!! 50 pieces leg and thigh is only about $34.00. Good deal and taste awesome!!! Here’s the number (206) 737-8900. I usually call a day ahead :)

manhattan93MemberI love the chicken from the hot bar at PCC, not greasy but flavorful.

DaveBParticipantMa’ono. It’s not cheap but is worth the price. Plus the mustard sauce they serve it with makes it even better.

JayDeeParticipantDaveB:
For the price of the Ma’ono fried chicken you could buy 50 pieces of Super Saver as mentioned above. I had a Ma’ono and didn’t think it was worth 4x the equivalent MM or Thriftway chicken. I know there is accounting for taste but there is still regular old accounting. (I had a Ma’ono Chicken for my 50th birthday so I know what they offer.) IMHO.
