Last night around 10 pm I found a dog wandering on SW Roxbury street near 29th ave sw. I witnessed this dog almost getting hit about 3 times. I picked her up and took her to the Burien clinic out on 1st ave. They scanned for a microchip and found nothing. SHe is a very good dog, gets along with my lab great. Reply with a description and details so I can bring her home! I also called the Humane Society who said i can bring her there from 12-6, they evaluate her and then put her up for adoption if nobody claims her. I’m also posting on Craigslist. Drove around the area last night looking for someone or signs. No luck. post a description here so i can drop her off!

Perhaps you should post more details about the dog, as well as in the pets section. I saw flyers up this morning on Admiral for lost female chocolate lab, two years old. If more details were posted, then perhaps a neighbour or a friend can alert the owner (who may not read this). Thanks for taking the dog in and stopping him/her from getting hit – as a dog owner/lover and someone who unfortunately has hit a loose dog before (he survived), it’s much appreciated that the dog was picked up before it got hit.

Have you already checked our Pets page to see if it matches any of the dogs there (most with photos)?

Hey, if it’s a good sized black lab, her name is Lucy and she’s from 37th SW and SW Monroe. There’s fliers up in the neighborhood. Don’t know the owners’ names…

I dont want any random person claiming the dog. So I posted general info and anyone with a missing dog-will be able to provide me the breed, color, gender, etc. It’s not a lab and im going to the pets page right now. Thanks

    tonyjt…

you can post a breed without giving details…

the dog will tell you if you have found their person.

tonjt – Would you be comfortable at least posting the approximate size (ie, small jack russel size, medium aussie size, large lab size)?

It sounds like it’s a female from your initial post.

As JoB said – the dog will give you a big clue if the person is the rightful owner or not based on how it reacts to them.

While I don’t agree with the idea of posting about a found dog without describing it; I guess that’s tonyjt’s right. If I had a lost dog and thought that the found dog could possilby be mine, I would post the description here, as requested.

I wonder if it’s the German Shepherd I’ve seen wandering around that area before. I tried to catch that dog once a couple of months ago but didn’t succeed.
