My neighbors found a Boston Terrier hanging around my neighborhood. I’m housing him until I can find his owner.

He has a tag saying that he has a seattle pet license and number. I’m told no one is answering the seattle license office. He has a purple collar, is probably 1-2 years old.

When the owner claims him they should be prepared to prove that they are indeed his owner. Things that would convince me are describe how his bark sounds & his personality, pet license number, or pictures of him.

I live on the 9020’s block of 17th ave. The owner can call me area code 518, phone number 221 4035, or email me “mike” at the domain “yakastonia.com”. (I’m making the contact information cryptic to reduce the likely hood of getting more spam)

I’m not sure if this every got resolved, but does anyone have a way of cross referencing this with Dezarae at Forsythe? Every time I see a Boston Terrier, I think of her. :(

He may have a microchip. Maybe a veterinarian’s office could help? Also, if he’s a local, maybe the Pet Pros store at Westwood Village might know him.

He is absolutely darling. Someone must be missing him very much!

I got through to the Seattle pet licensing they told me his name is “Tank” but said the phone number they had was bad. I’ll try pet pros after the vet.

    Yup, that’s a cutie.

I also encourage you to swing by a vet’s office and have them swipe the pup for a microchip. Won’t cost you anything, I don’t think.

Good luck. I’ll keep an eye out for signs and such.

The hard thing about microchips is that their are a variety of chips out there and each chip can only be read by its reader. Our two dogs (since they came from different rescue groups) have different microchips so you may have to go to different vets to get a positive reading. Best of luck to you and good luck!

No luck, the address on the microchip seems wrong. The phone numbers aren’t getting anywhere either. I find it hard to believe the owner isn’t searching for this guy. He’s so well behaved.

Hopefully someone is out looking for him. I know it took us awhile to update our dogs chip when we moved here. I would be lost if something had happened to her. Pet Pros is definitely a place to start as they seem to know everyone!

    Hey Mike0323

Maybe you could type up a sign and download a pic of the dog….post on few main arterials and at the dog park?

Good on you, by the way, for stepping up. even if it is “just” a dog.

there are times when I see these little cuties found, and wonder if they’ve been abandoned…and maybe doesn’t want you to find it’s owner…

he’s got such expressive eyes :)

The dog belongs to a guy named Dan. He lives in a small yellow house with a chain-linked fenced yard on the corner of 15th and Henderson. I called him a left a message with your phone number Mike. Hopefully he will get back to asap. Hope this helps!

Thats great! There are two yellow houses with chainlink fences. Which side of the road? I’m gonna go visit tomorrow.

If you are going west on Henderson the house is on the left side of the road, near the end by 15th. There should be a green truck pulled all the way into the fenced yard, near the back. His house mate drives a red truck and usually parks it inside the fence as well. If you have any trouble finding it, let me know. I would be happy to meet you and show you where little Tank lives. Good luck.

I have a little concern though – does this dog get out often? Or was this an accident? Doesn’t seem like anyone was looking for him, especially if you had to go find the owner’s house. Just curious.
