Garden_nymphMemberWe found an adult sized bike left in our alley. Describe it and we’ll make sure it gets back to you.

hollyplaceParticipantWe had our neighbor burglarized two Saturdays ago and our other neighbor noticed a bike missing at the same time. We live in the Beveridge Place/Holly Place neighborhood. Here is a description they sent out about their bike…
“Regarding the bicycle stolen from our yard:
It’s an older blue Raleigh with cruiser style handlebars and a ripped up seat- if any of you see it around the neighborhood (bushes, etc) please let me know.

Garden_nymphMemberCould you please check again regarding the brand? I would love for this to get back to the owner.

JunctionGirlMemberHi, my neighbor saw this and posted the description for me as the bike was stolen a few weeks ago. It is a blue Raleigh bike and it says “chill” on the frame. The seat is pretty ripped up and it has the cruiser style handle bars. Please let me know if this fits the desciption and I’ll come and get it- ! Thanks!

HelperMonkeyParticipantI had an old blue Raleigh stolen from my yard 6 years ago. I would LOL if this were the same bike somehow.

JunctionGirlMemberWell, I guess I messed up here by posting the description for everyone to see. Now, anyone can say this is their bike. I had the bike in my possession for 19 years and really miss it. Please email me at the address above for junctiongirl, and I can give more details about what the bike looks like.
Thanks!

JanetMemberJuncton girl- mine was not a Raleigh bike nor did it have a torn up seat. Ours was pretty new. I was just posting should the finder determine your description did not match.

JunctionGirlMemberThanks Janet, sorry if my post sounded less than gracious.

Garden_nymphMemberLooking at the bike in brighter light, it is more of a dark purple, the seat is ripped, but it is not a Raleigh bike. The bike has some rust on it. At this point, I guess it’s all about the brand and what kind of wheels, etc. Sorry to get your hopes up, I’m just trying to make sure this bike gets back to the owner.
