As I moved my recycle bin to the curb this morning, inside I found an untied bag of dog poop. I had to tie it up and put it in my garbage can.

I appreciate the unknown dog ower scooping up after the pet, but please carry it home and deposit it properly your garbage can, and not a neighbor’s recycling bin.

Maybe they thought it was the yard waste bin :o

Seriously though, why even bother to bag it if you’re going to do something like that?

This is one of those cases where I can’t figure out how some people’s minds work.

It seems to me that someone who is “responsible” enough to carry the bags and clean up their dog’s crap, would have the common courtesy to not put it in someone else’s grabage can. Let alone their recycle bin! :shrugs:

Watch out… I remember a similar post to this quite a while back, and many people jumped in to attack the poster with “why do you care?” “it’s not hurting anyone” and “pick your battle” comments. It’s good to see that, so far, commenters are reasonable and understand that this behavior (dumping your dog’s poop in another’s trash/recycling) is not o.k.

Still can’t believe anyone thinks this is o.k. because trash “already stinks.”

i’m right there with you AlkiMac! happens to me nearly every week. and always AFTER the pale has been emptied. drives me nuts. i am grateful that folks are kind enough not to leave the waste on my lawn, but irked that i have to “live” with it everytime i open the trash bin.
