HI! Is Watercrest the only off leash dog park in West Seattle? I met some neighbors who indicated that there was one closer to me (I live around 34th and Andover), but I can only find info about Watercrest. I just adopted a dog who has evidently been trained to only go to the bathroom outside and off leash, and she held it for 36 hours! I need to take her to a dog park regularly until I can train her otherwise, but driving 15 minutes isn’t super convenient. Anyone know of any others?

Westcrest in Highland Park is indeed the only official off-leash park in West Seattle. – Tracy

Your neighbors might be talking about Dragonfly Park..? It’s not a dog park, but lots of people take their dogs there and it is not an off-leash area (although people do let their dogs off leash there – not recommending it, just reporting the facts). It is very close to what used to be Allstar Fitness gym on/near Andover.

dragonfly was once a great place to walk my leashed pets…

until those who think letting their dogs run free whether it’s legal or not drove me out of yet another park.

my neighborhood has become a place to walk your off leash pets :( but i am not going to tell you where i live so more people can so the same here…
