TanDLParticipantI’m looking for an honest answer to this question: Why are you spamming neighborhood blogs? I am genuinely curious.
Are you selling products with your spam? Are you angry at the blogs? Are you getting some clicks on links within your spams that you get paid for? All the spam sent out over the blog forums puzzles me and I would like to know what’s in it for you. I eagerly await your replies.

SmittyParticipantMy guess is they are some kind of “bots” just doing their thing. WSB needs to upgrade (easy for me to say).
If they start spamming *within* posts – as a response like this – I will have to vacate this place until it is fixed.
I will say, they are very clever putting the links *just* above the ignore buttons, so if not careful you might click it instead of clicking ignore.

WSBKeymasterThey don’t just spam “neighborhood blogs” (of which we are not one anyway) – they spam all sorts of websites, including even websites with multizillion-dollar budgets (Facebook, etc.). Like I said in the other thread, I’m sorry, we’re doing the best we can. We’re not launching 2.0 until it’s good and ready, which may be just a few weeks, but there are some critical points left to reconcile. I have already killed two huge rounds in the past few hours and will try harder to look in on the forum while at Summer Fest again today – TR

JanSParticipantdon’t beat yourself up, TR. It’s a beast….an effing annoying beast…but it’s there. Yay for Chinese inginuity, I suppose. The ignore button is a great tool. We all should use it..takes about a minute to get rid of them for a while.
Looking forward to Part 2.. :)

JanSParticipantSmitty…that hasn’t happened to me yet…don’t even want to see what’s behind the curtain – lol

TanDLParticipantNothing against you in any way at all, WSB. It’s amazing you keep with it the way you do as the amount coming in seems overwhelming at times. I just don’t get the purpose of it on sites like neighborhood blogs. There must be a reason. I can sort of understand (but not approve of) reasons to go after company websites… if someone is angry at those businesses or in competition, non believers in what a site promote, etc. But to try and disrupt neighborhood forums doesn’t make sense to me. Do these people not have lives at all? Or is there some sort of payment in it… some sort of ideology some sort of something? It truly baffles me.
