wrenMemberHas anyone bought one yet? It looks like there are several nice lots here. I think I am drawn to the one on Dakota that is being sponsored by the school. Does anyone favor a particular lot?
How are the prices. Does any one favor a particular kind of tree? Are they any different out here from the midwest?

blackwatchMemberWe bought a really nice fake tree 6 years ago ($100) and I’m surprised at:
-How good it looks every year. It’s perfectly symmetric. There’s no way you can tell it’s not real, except for the smell. But no errant branches or bare patches.
-You never have to water it.
-You don’t have to buy a new one every year $$$$
-I don’t know how it stands on the environment, it might even be a minus, but the preceding points make up for it.
I love the thing…Merry X-mas.

IrukandjiParticipantI’ve become a HUGE fan of the Holy Rosary lot: Kind, efficient, great with little kids, and the first time I was given a hand-made Thank You note from a student, they got me for life. FWIW, my kid isn’t a student there, but we appreciate their trees!

AnonymousInactiveand … Holy Rosary gives 15% of the proceeds from the Christmas Trees to four local organizations/funds. Our children do not go to Holy Rosary, but we have purchased a tree from them for the past 6 years because of Holy Rosary’s commitment to giving back to the community.

I just bought my tree at the place on Charleston and California. I got a beautiful tree. The guy who is the son in law of the father was extremely helpful. He gave my tree a fresh cut and loaded it on my car for me. He is planing to donate a bit of the proceeds to charity he says.

sam-cParticipantmy memory is not serving me well (on when we typically buy our tree) they won’t get too dried out if we put it up now?
we buy based on my picky-ness and what we can afford. I like short-ish (5′ or less) noble firs, and have found a good selection at West Seattle Nursery.
usually noble fir at Holy Rosary and Tony’s are too big for our tiny living room (and our tiny budget).
3 years ago we got one a Holy Rosary, and enjoyed the cute home-made card that came with it. all the people that worked there were really nice.

JDMemberHey West Seattle, we just got a new load of very fresh and beautiful trees down at e-green landscaping, 9010 Delridge Way SW. They were cut Friday evening and picked up Saturday so they are FRESH! We’ve got beautiful Noble and Nordman Firs ( similar to Noble, but more open branching and less needle drop ) and most are between $32 and $45. Lots of popular 6-8′ sizes as well as quite a few small or slender trees for small spaces. They’re from our cousins family farm in Chehalis and are really pretty trees. kilikiMemberI got mine at Holy Rosary and thought the prices were very reasonable – much less than what I’ve spent in past years.
