Joe BurnsParticipantI’m an adult intermediate cellist, competent not professional. I’m looking for other adult musicians interested in playing together. Chamber and classical music are obviously a fit for cello, and there’s lots of material out there for string ensembles. But I’m also open to other instruments that don’t fit the narrow definition of chamber/classical music as well.
I’m a fairly competent arranger and multi-instrumentalist too, and I love all manner of modern music so not opposed to branching out and making arrangements of non-classical music. I just really miss playing with other musicians! No real agenda of wanting to perform live, but open to it if things gel and progress.
Please be an adult; intermediate or better skill level on your instrument; able to meet to practice and play in West Seattle fairly regularly; anti-rascist and LGBT+ friendly; music lover.

CoffeeCakeParticipantViolin and viola player here interested in playing chamber music! Have instruments tuned and ready, and am a competent player. I live near the Alaska Junction and have a bit of string quartet music to contribute.

TrileighParticipantOh, both of you, please come join our very own West Seattle Community Orchestras! We’re a friendly, supportive, fun group, and you can choose among our various ensembles which group is the right level for you. Registration is open now, with placement auditions (only for which ensemble is right; everyone is welcome to play) next Tuesday 9/27. And often, members form quartets and other ensembles on our own – you’ll find many other players you might want to make music with in smaller groups.
