Bus Driver Beaten

The metro driver that was attacked and beaten unconscious last night was my mother, and a long time alki resident. Please pray for her.

What would be so hard about building metal enclosures to keep our drivers (and relatives) safe from physical attacks? This is like the 8th one in two years…

Breanna, I am also sorry to hear of this. We got the King County Sheriff’s Office news release on this this afternoon and were shocked to hear how brutal and random it was; it mentioned no West Seattle links (or even White Center) so we hadn’t published it here on WSB. I’ve ridden METRO, for over 35 years now, and am a bit of a bus geek, so I feel a special connection to the Drivers.

this is so horrifying, that a woman could be viciously attacked, by children???

I hate that they kill each other, and attack police officers, but attacking a bus driver; so bizarre; if this isn’t a cry for help, desperate need for youth intervention, I don’t know what is
