ellenaterMemberHi friends,
I have done extensive research on Biden’s Hair and can’t believe the way the left are just overlooking both the cut and style. It’s not at all sexy. Several unbiased news sites have reported that Biden is trying to acheive some kind of subliminal messaging through his hair and that said messaging is swaying voters. This is clearly a violation of the ‘Republicans Against Subliminal Messaging Through Hair Act’ I believe voters are losing sight of what is important (lofty hair, nice highlights, and a doggone good spray to finish it off).
Further, after watching the VP debate, I am certain that Palin has the style and volume necessary to lead this country into more wars which we desperately need.
Please contact your local representative today and let’s make sure we get some good hair. Bush had it, Clinton did not. Obama’s hair doesn’t really count because it’s, you know, black hair. While McCain doesn’t have a lot of hair, I think Palin’s makes up for it.
I urge you to free yourselves from the ‘hairnet’ and join me in voting for the sleeker condidates!

mellaw6565Member“Obama’s hair doesn’t count because it’s black hair?” Huh? That’s a little stereotyping – is it not?
I appreciate the sense of humor, but not sure that was appropriate.
October 6, 2008 at 12:52 am #642465
aunteesocialParticipantThat was funny. Thank you for the levity.
Do you really think Bush has better hair than Bill Clinton? I have to disagree! Clinton’s hair could be feathered 70’s style! Of course I usually turn the page or change the channel if GW or his hair is pictured. Maybe I don’t know what his hair looks like after all.
Now that Al Gore, he has hair like Superman. That’s good hair.
And John Edwards, with his reported $500 hair cuts, well that didn’t get him very far now, did it?
Hillary could have used a different stylist, it was a little ‘helmety’ (I know, not a word)could that be why she’s out?
I don’t know if hair makes the candidate, but I think Obama sports a very nice look in terms of hair style. His hairline looks very smart, and maybe that’s what this country needs. A smart hairline.

JanSParticipantellenator..thanks for the smiles. Has anyone seen the pics of Obama as a young man with a fairly nice ‘fro? Definitely a good looking man.
now…about those ears….if size counts, Obama wins by a landslide ;-)
October 6, 2008 at 1:06 am #642467
MissKMemberIs this supposed to be a funny post? If so I don’t really see the humor in it. I also find the Obama comment very inappropriate.
October 6, 2008 at 1:31 am #642468
JanSParticipantI’m not sure about the hair reference, but I do know that the “ear” thing has been brought up and laughed about by both Barack and Michelle Obama in interviews. And in one, they showed his picture as a young man with his ‘fro, and bot laughed at it. I think, for the most part, that the Obama’s would be less offended that some of us on here, because that’s how we’re supposed to react when those things are talked about by “us”…just an opinion.
I do know that the Obama’s have great senses of humor, and laugh at themselves a lot.
October 6, 2008 at 1:42 am #642469
MissKMemberI understand that the Obama’s have a great sense of humor. However, this post I don’t understand. Not finding the humor is all. :-)
October 6, 2008 at 1:44 am #642470
aunteesocialParticipantSometimes humor pushes the PC comfort zone, and saying someone has ‘black hair’, when in fact, they are black, and their hair is black, that was all that was said…funny though that no one has a problem with “the style and volume necessary to lead our county into more wars we desperately need”? Now that’s funny!
Maybe I’m wrong , but isn’t war offensive and inappropriate?
I think JanS is right about “us”. We shouldn’t take ourselves so seriously that we can’t crack a joke- I mean calling Joe Biden un-sexy… that could hurt “tell me it aint so, Joe’s” feelings! Doesn’t anyone care about poor Joe?? :)
October 6, 2008 at 2:33 am #642471
AnonymousInactiveI was just thinking how rude to write off black hair. There’s all kinds of cool looks he could go with. The Montel Williams bald look with a goatee. The CSI dude, Gary Dourdan, kind of loose and hip. I like cornrows myself, but probably wouldn’t seem very presidential. I think he’s aiming for the President Palmer look on 24(take me serious). But we all know if he’s elected, after a few years of aging and stress, it’s going to be Don King all the way.
October 6, 2008 at 3:22 am #642472
JanSParticipantwell, I, for one, think Joe Biden is extremely sexy for someone in his mid 60’s. I don’t even mind that he had a hair transplant. LOL…my ex had one right after we divorced…I don’t recognize him now – lol…
JT…laughing at the image of Barack “Don King” Obama….
October 6, 2008 at 3:22 am #642473
WSMomParticipantDon King, now that’s funny!
October 6, 2008 at 3:35 am #642474
CaitParticipantDon King will go down in the history books of bad hair choices. I’m just sayin… No matter the color of the hair however, Chris Matthews is the worst as far as anyone in the political field. Point. Blank.
October 6, 2008 at 3:51 am #642475
MissKMemberI don’t know I am not getting how this is at all funny? I guess those diversity classes I took in college have me looking at this post in a different light. I find the joking in poor taste. How is this post relevant to anything West Seattle or political?
October 6, 2008 at 4:12 am #642476
ellenaterMemberActually, MissK I was poking fun at covert racism. I think there is a lot of it out and about and also on this forum. I was hoping it would be clear from the complete ridiculousness of the entire thing what my intentions were. I wrote it because there are some really great, smart people on here and I really get a lot out of reading what they have to say in the political posts. I wanted to make them smile.
Also, I find Obama completely hot. Love the ears, love the hair. Love the heart and brain best of all.
aunteesocial, Biden IS sexy. You’re right about Gore. Hillary’s hair is baaaaad but has possibility. Palin’s hair is downright annoying. I like Jon Stewart’s hair. Kennedy had some hair!
October 6, 2008 at 4:24 am #642477
CaitParticipantI think that Obama was MORE guilty of stereotyping in his comment about what he thought about Bill Clinton being called the first black President. His answer? “I don’t know… I’d have to evaluate his dancing skills.” C’mon now. I know that it CAN be seen as offensive, but I think we all know that wasn’t the intention especially given that he said something even more off-color himself! In the public eye no less.
Ellenator, I’m with you all the way! That is one good looking man… in a very unconventional way.
October 6, 2008 at 1:06 pm #642478
MagpieParticipantWhat I love about the first amendment is that we don’t have to be PC. We can make fun of whatever we want and those uncomfortable with it just have to live with it. (This goes both ways). I am more offended by the overt lies in this campaign than I am about this post…and while we are at it, doesn’t Sarah Palin have some perky breasts for a mother of such a large family? Maybe when she loses, she can get an endorsment from Victoria’s secret. (Do I need to make a winky thing in order to say this is all in jest?)
October 6, 2008 at 1:16 pm #642479
MissKMemberThanks ellenator for responding to my posts. I really appreciate it.
I am one that is NOT on the ultra-PC bandwagon. However, when I see covert racisim (as you put it) or remarks that have a tinge of racism I just can’t keep silent.
October 6, 2008 at 3:23 pm #642480
HuindekmiParticipantDid anyone hear the NPR story a few weeks back about Russian/Soviet premiers? How they’ve oscillated between bald and hairy since the Bolshevik revolution. Lenin bald. Stalin hairy. Khrushchev bald. Brezhnev hairy. And so on.
They also pointed out that since television came along, Americans have been unwilling to elect bald men. Ford was our only bald President since Eisenhower, but he wasn’t elected.
But the funniest part was when they stated, apparently in an attempt not to offend anyone, that the trend could not be broken this year because neither candidate was bald. Given McCain’s super-combover, I couldn’t help but laugh hysterically at that. The man parts his hair just above his ear, sweeps the long strands over the top of his head, and then lacquers the stuff in place with some sort of industrial adhesive. But no. He’s not bald. :D
Regardless, the trend won’t be broken this year.
October 6, 2008 at 3:33 pm #642481
ellenaterMemberI didn’t hear that but I heard something similar about how FDR couldn’t be President in today’s world due to his wheelchair. Yes, we live in a sound bite culture all the way.
Magpie, lmao!

JoBParticipantI have to come to the defense of big ears… mine are just pinned back to keep my hair in place.. but there is a lot to be said for a man with big ears…
my second boyfriend.. sigh… the first had red hair and freckles…
another story another time.
I must have been 12;~>
i think hillary was dealing with crossover hair.. that’s when Grey is really intruding but hasn’t taken over yet and you have two kinds of hair on your head..neither cooperating with the other.
nothing to do but give up or go for the helmet look…
Obama will never be don king.. he doesn’t have to look outlandish to be noticed. i bet he will be sexy when grey.
October 6, 2008 at 4:21 pm #642483
MissKMemberHey watch it JoB I am a red head with freckles
j/k
You know what they say about red heads and tempers. (thats a stereotype that seems to ring true;-)
I heard on a news story about Cindy McCain that her favorite time with John is at night, when she combs his hair. Comb his hair???? What hair? LOL
I think Obama will be one sexy pres, even if he greys (like they all do after their presidencies) he will still be sexy sexy.
October 6, 2008 at 10:09 pm #642484
missaudreyhorneParticipantHave you guys seen the ads on the bus that say “See something? Say something.” that are all about how if you see something weird on the bus you should tell someone in case it is a bomb or whatever? I think there is also one about being loud and/or angry on a cell phone. Well, the guy in the pictures looks slightly like Obama. I mean, he doesn’t look just like him, but he looks like him enough that every time I see them I think oh look, Obama rides metro. Yeah, I’m a dork. (I also then think what IS that thing in the picture, it looks like a paper towl dispenser, not a bomb).
MissK – I think he will be even SEXIER with grey. Hot older men are…HOT.
JanS (aka mom) – Joe Biden would be hotter if his eyes weren’t SO beady. During the debate I was trying to pay attention, but all I could think was beady beady eyes and BIG WHITE TEETH. (those have to be veneers, right?)
October 6, 2008 at 10:29 pm #642485
JenVMemberfrom MissK: “I heard on a news story about Cindy McCain that her favorite time with John is at night, when she combs his hair.”
thanks for the nightmares and the generally all over oogy feelings, MissK! <shudders> ;)
October 6, 2008 at 10:46 pm #642486
ZenguyParticipantI imagined it like one monkey grooming another…frightening!
October 6, 2008 at 11:12 pm #642487
WSMomParticipantI feel sorry for Cindy McCain. Imagine being married to a philanderer who calls you a c**t in public (what he may be saying to her in private I don’t want to guess). Look at her poor face. All that money and she shackles herself to a bully. The best surgeons in the country can’t cut the sadness away. Seriously, I feel sad for her.
