cougfanParticipantWe just moved to West Seattle (N. Admiral area).
Looking for input on the best internet provider for this area.
Pretty boring question, but would appreciate any advice.
Thanks

rwParticipantI don’t think there are a lot of choices here. I have had fast and reliable Internet service with Comcast and very few complaints other than price. I could probably find less expensive service, but I often work from home so reliability is critical.

mightymoParticipantWe have Comcast and no complaints. (Genessee Hill/Admiral area.) I know some people have trouble with them, but beyond the fact that we apparently have super-strong signal strength — every tech that comes by comments on it — we also have been getting great customer service on service calls. Prompt, on the appointment time (or earlier). I think the technicians are often local to your neighborhood to save travel time.

trickycooljParticipantComcast is pretty much king everywhere outside of downtown (Broadstripe ew). The good news is that in High Point I get much faster Comcast service than my friends in Greenlake/U-dist and we all pay for the same speed. I regularly get 10+Mbps faster than them. I rarely have issues, only once when switching modem models in my old apartment they couldn’t provision it and had to work on the lines to my place but I got credited all the lost service time back and it was a very rare situation (poor wiring combined with an equipment upgrade that I choose to do on my own).

cougfanParticipantThanks everyone! Now, any inputs on cable/satellite. We’re leaning towards DISH (I had great service at my other place), but will take any advice.
Thanks!!

JoBParticipantlove DISH
have a love/hate relationship with Comcast internet but they are the only option on the “wrong” side of 35th in my area.. so there you go
