CupajoeMemberI need a new alternator for a Ford Taurus. Where should I go in West Seattle where I can trust them?

dhgParticipantAlki Auto, right on Alki. I know the owner, he hires guys who are trained and tested and he has a loyal following. You can check it out on Yelp:

Genesee HillParticipantWest Seattle Auto Works. Hands down.
A couple of years ago, my 94 year old mom’s Chevy Cavalier started doing some utterly bizarre electrical stuff. My brother and I were freaked. We are both somewhat “motor heads”, and were stumped.
West Seattle Auto Works IMMEDIATELY diagnosed the problem as a shot alternator. The car was IMMEDIATELY fixed. For cheap.
They have earned my trust. Period. One of the owners previously worked on Ferraris. Enough said.

ElizabethElaineParticipantI’ve gotten great service at Tom’s Automotive near the YMCA. And they have a loaner car!

mtnfreakParticipantDoyle’s Automotive Repair, off of Alaska between 35th and Fauntleroy. They’ve been working on our cars for 16 years – I’ve always appreciated their straight talk and honest opinions, and they’ve always stood by their work.

WDParticipantWe used Foreign Car Workshop a couple of weeks ago for some mechanical work on our Forester and they did a great job at a reasonable price. They were fast, too. It was the first time we had used them and I’ll definitely go back again.
