    Anyone in the neighborhood know what is going on in the Belvidere area? I see helicopters circling, and checked the 911 site, looks like heavy rescue of some kind?

    Gina: A contractor working on a house there came down a driveway and hit a small child who was crossing the sidewalk. The little boy is about 6 or 7 and police tell me that his injuries are not life-threatening. He was transported to Harborview just to be safe.

    At the very least the little guy will have an exciting story, complete with five police cars, a fire engine and ladder company and a news helicopter!

    I hope the contractor is o.k. too. I’m afraid I would need an aid car too if I were in his shoes.

    Yeah, that’s him in the white t-shirt on the left side of the photo that’s up on the front page. He looked understandably upset.
