Assistant Nanny/Family Daycare

We are looking for a part time assistant to work 30 hours/week (from 9:30-3:30 M-F) who is available to start on May 1st. We are a West Seattle family daycare who specialize in caring for babies/toddlers. Our primary caregiver has many years of experience in childcare and is willing to teach the right person how to care for infants. We have created a comfortable, enjoyable workplace where children can grow and learn.

The role of the assistant is to be responsible for daily care of babies – including feeding, changing, playing, teaching, and cleaning. We are looking for someone who loves to sing and laugh and talk to babies. We like to take the babies (there will be four by May) out on trips to parks and on walks and have a lot of fun with art projects, music, games and books.

Upon start date, you must have a negative Tuberculous (TB) test and be able to pass a Background Check. We are going through the process of becoming licensed with DEL and will comply with their requirements. Over time, we will assist you with additional training, if you are interested. Must be able to do all physical tasks necessary for playing with babies including lifting up to 30 lbs. and be able to get down on floor and crawl around. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
